MLive readers share their own ideas for Kwame Kilpatrick casting; plus, more ...
We've also got some suggestions for other notables in the Kilpatrick scandal that weren't mentioned yesterday, including:
Felicity Huffman as Gov. Jennifer Granholm and Doug Savant as Attorney General Mike Cox: The "Desperate Housewives" duo would be an easy fit into these roles.
Harry Belafonte as Rep. John Conyers and Tyler, the Creator as John Conyers III: Picture Hollywood screen legend Belafonte as the Odd Future leader's father. Just picture it. Also, what do Tyler and the younger Conyers have in common? Both their Twitter accounts ( John's , Tyler's ) are the online equivalent of word vomit.
Alex Trebek as Attorney Mike Stefani: I'll take Famous Whistleblowers for $200, Alex.
Kid Rock and Steve Martin as Free Press reporters M.L. Elrick and Jim Schaefer: Earrings scream badass, and Kid Rock just happens to be one. And banking off the odd pairing = movie gold equation we have with Belafonte and Tyler, the Creator, Rock and Martin together shouldn't disappoint.
Mitch Albom as Mitch Albom: Someone has to write a column condemning this whole affair, but there's no one in Hollywood fit enough to sit at Albom's fictional desk while doing so. No one.
John Goodman as Steve Wilson and Alfre Woodard and Sanaa Lathan as Diana and Glenda Lewis: WXYZ's Wilson dogged Kilpatrick for the majority of his time in office, so he's got to be included. But Wilson's reports will be preceded by the Lewises' gimmicky Mother's Day broadcasts. Woodard and Lathan have played mother and daughter in three flicks already , so why not make it a fourth?
Finally, it looks like someone did a lot of legwork on a potential Kwame film already. We already had "Scandal in the City," but another YouTube link was posted in the comments yesterday.
Cube 2 Movie - News

Ice Cube did send a subtle shout-out to Kilpatrick in Trick Trick's "Let it Fly": "I find out that the b***h I'm text messaging is the same b***h the mayor is text messaging." 4. Kenan Thompson. Too young, unless this movie follows Kilpatrick's early

Then the kids start comparing alien technology to a Rubik's Cube — which didn't hit American shelves until the '80s. The best sequence in “Super 8” doesn't appear until the end credits are rolling, when the assembled version of “The Case” is presented
The new Zelda: Skyward Sword for the Wii (since let's be honest, the Wii hasn't had its own Zelda release yet, and don't give me crap about Twilight Princess, it's nothing more than a Game Cube game with motion controls.) looks very promising with more
Intel says that the Red Skull possesses the omnipotent Cosmic Cube, and Cap's main goal is to neutralize him before any of his nefarious intents can be realised. Cap, Bucky and the Howling Commandos are dropped into enemy territory to assault Zemo's
Other possibilities were a monster lion, a moving cube that is alive, a person with a canine obsession, and a certain disease and a extremely popular star were the mysterious escapee. Mystery thrillers are always fun. The more the suspense builds up

And Split Second
I never had any particular intention of watching Cube Zero, having had the ending spoiled for me already, but it’s good to hear that decision vindicated.
I did enjoy the first Cube, but thought the second a bit bland. The first had some originality, but the second just seemed like more of the same, just with a bigger budget. Also, the ending to the second movie really annoyed me.
So you, a stupidly powerful corporation, have an agent who’s just shown herself capable enough to successfully complete the most suicidal mission EVER, and the first thing you do is shoot her? Tell me…do you also poison your lawyers when they successfully defend you against major class action lawsuits? Crucify the lobbyists that successfully get laws passed to protect your monopoly?
No wonder the religion shown in Cube Zero is so messed up! Apparently this is a world where the Aztecs conquered the world.
Split Second – this film is out-of-print and not readily available by any legal means. That makes it largely ineligible for consideration. I can’t in good conscience go around talking about stuff that’s nearly impossible for other people to see.I think I need to start laying some ground rules. If you want to suggest something, please only suggest one film at a time. Pick the one you want to hear about the most. Don’t do the above. You’ll be less likely to get a response if you do.
Please don’t request films that are not currently in print or are not available through Netflix streaming or another online on-demand source. It’s no fun talking about it if no one can see it.
Also, please don’t keep requesting the same film over and over if I’ve already said I don’t intend to cover it or I do intend to cover it, but at some point in the undetermined future. And if the movie has an ambiguous title, please be absolutely clear about which film you mean. I’ve had people pester me into watching mediocre films that wasted my time, only to find out they meant something entirely different which was only available on VHS ten years ago.
The thing is, Gooberzilla ought to review, or watch at least once, Bloodrayne: The Third Reich. It keeps to the spirit of the old episodes of TGME. It is a campy film with Clint Howard as a main villain, nazis, vampires, vampires-nazis AND nazi-vampires. The cinematography is fun to watch and is more enjoyable then House of the Dead. The movie starts with a gun battle and ends with a gun battle. The only other thing that could possibly convince you, it’s the only Uwe Boll film(that I know of) that has a convincingly gory & enjoyable shot of a man’s head exploding due to a rifle round. It must be watched.
