Delmarva Chicken Festival coming to Georgetown
Event Highlights for the Delmarva Chicken Festival, slated to begin today.
1 For the first time in 25 years, the Delmarva Chicken Festival is on its way back to Georgetown. Hosted by the Greater Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and staged at Delmarva Christian High School, the event is expected to attract 20,000 visitors throughout the coming weekend. Festival grounds are slated to open at 10 a.m. on Friday and the day’s events will conclude at 8 p.m. Saturday, festivities are to begin at 10 a.m.
2 Festivities will include ceremonies featuring local, state and chicken industry dignitaries. At 11 a.m., a home and trade show, an arts and crafts show and several food and beverage vendors will open. Included in the vendors section will be, of course, Delmarva’s renowned giant frying pan.
3 Cooking demonstrations will kickoff Friday at 1 p.m., with Chef Paul Buchness, owner and head chef at Lighthouse Landing in Georgetown, who will showcase his philosophy of using local food sourcing. Following Buchness, at 3 p.m., Chef Carmen Bocerril-Garcia, of Lighthouse Cove in Georgetown, will demonstrate two of her creative chicken preparations. On Saturday, beginning at 11 a.m., Chef Barbara Royal from the Coral Bay Café and Bar in Georgetown will be showing her style of American and West Indian/Caribbean dishes. Free samples of all recipes will be available following each demonstration.
4 Plenty of additional entertainment for patrons of all ages will take place over the two-day festival. Carnival rides and games for kids will be in abundance, and several live bands will be there to perform for the crowd. Included in the list of bands playing are The Funsters, The Hilltop Ramblers, The Delmarva Big Band and more.

Christian comes out and has a stare down with Sheamus. The two stare each other down until Randy Orton makes his way out from one of the luxury boxes in the upper deck. All three men stare each other down as we close the show.

My hatred to Orton isn't because he beat Christian, my problem with Orton is he is the biggest overrated star in recent years. I respect Orton, because he goes into the ring and gives a show but for me, I'm never really invested in his matches and feel

Create an experience that allows visitors use as many of their senses as possible. The following are just a few ideas to help you get ready for that all important trade show. 1)If space will allow, erect a stand-alone presentation board. On the board, you can show how clients can benefit by using your services. Be creative and make it stand out. Include pictures, if possible, and be sure your company name and logo are more than obvious. 2)If there is wall space, but your budget is minimal, use your trusty desktop publishing software to create a template of your company name. There’s nothing better than getting a deal and, when they ‘cash in’ their certificate, they will see how valuable your services are and will come back for more. 8)Have a draw for a prize.
