FOX 29 in Philadelphia reports that Seattle Seahawks defensive lineman Raheem Brock was arrested in Philadelphia last night for allegedly walking out of a night club without paying for his $27 bar tab.
Victor Fiorillo of the Philadelphia Magazine writes that Brock was with a female companion, and that both were taken into custody. Brock was charged with resisting arrest and theft, and released this morning without posting bail.
This is the second incident in the past year for Brock. In November, Brock was driving up to 90 mph on Interstate 5 after leaving a bar in the University District in Seattle when he was pulled over and arrested on suspicion of DUI early Saturday morning, a day before the Seahawks’ game at Arizona.
According to a report by the Washington State Patrol, a preliminary breath test showed Brock’s blood-alcohol concentration to be .133. The legal limit is .08. Brock refused field sobriety tests and was taken to the UW Police Department, where two breath tests put his BAC at .115 and .111.
Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll did not know about Brock’s incident before the Arizona game. Brock, 33, is a free agent, and the incident could have an affect on whether the Seahawks decide to bring him back for a second season, although the Temple product finished with a career-high nine sacks last season, and proved very successful in Seattle’s defensive scheme.
