Great accomplishments, effective measures, clear purposes and promising ...
As is known, President of the People's Republic of China Hu Jintao will pay a state visit to Kazakhstan and take part in the anniversary Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) in Astana. On the eve of the SCO Summit in Astana and the 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence, Chinese scientists and diplomats pay their attention to President Nursultan Nazarbayev's state-of-the-nation address, hence its content is of practical interest on the threshold of these events. The Deputy Director of the Euro-Asian Social Development Research Institute, Development Research Center of the State Council of China, stresses that the message's content transforms from year to year. And this year it distinguishes by intensity. The feature of the 2011 address lies in the fact that it sums up results of the period passed away, pays special attention to the people's life, sets clear targets, which makes its reader to feel most promising future in development of Kazakhstan. This message has formed in me the following impressions: Firstly, the message states the measures on social policy and improvement of the people's life for the present year. This postulate is very important. Everyone knows that the nation is a fundamental principle of the state. Improvement of the people's life represents a purpose of the country's development and a guarantee of successful growth. I paid attention that during last 10 years 1/15 part of the country's population got new housing, during last 4 years a salary and a pension increased twofold. It is an enviable figure. It is necessary to note that over the past few years Kazakhstan's economy experienced the impact of the financial crisis, but despite this, investments in the sphere of education, healthcare, employment, public services raised. Secondly, the message reflects the country's external policy, presenting a number of important events with Kazakhstan's participation. Since gaining independence Kazakhstan actively participates in international and regional affairs. Steady growth of the international authority of the country is noted. This success is connected with the internal stability and economic development of the country. The country's development laid foundation for success of these events. Besides, Kazakhstan's development gave it international confidence. Success of the 20-year development is reflected not only in economy, we should recognize, that the country's international authority has significantly strengthened.
Deng Xiaoping Social Policies - News
If we encounter problems, we can always shut it down speedily," said China's patriarch-in-chief Deng Xiaoping By Suranjana Roy Bhattacharya, Special to Gulf News The stock market is nothing to be afraid of, other countries have them.
After the session, HE Mr. Deng Xiaoping, the prominent leader of the CPC at that time, deliberated deeply on the international situation, China's diplomatic policy and party-to-party relations on the basis of changes in the domestic and international
But Deng Xiaoping believed that a strong authoritarian government was needed in order to implement market reforms, and it was his policy that prevailed. [46] The repression of the 1989 upsurge helped prepare the ground for capitalist restoration.
In Chinese history, periods of high inflation are associated with social, economic, and political unrest, something China's leaders do not want. In spite of their extraordinary growth record since Deng Xiao Ping opened China in 1978, China's per-capita
As general designer of China's reforms Deng Xiaoping once said 'Education is a basis of the foundation of steady development of a country, spare no expense in this sphere.' We are glad that the Government of Kazakhstan allocates more and more funds on
Lifelong Learner: Reforming US and China: The Case of Obama vs. Deng
A closer look at Obama’s legislative performance and policy actions show that he has been working slowly but methodological, in principle minded and disciplined ways, to advance his agenda; to bring about changes in America, from the bottoms up. The more noteworthy achievements are: the health care reform (much diluted), military withdrawals (much delayed) and legalize anti-terror fights (much compromised). Other relevant Deng’s doctrines guiding reform include: “emancipation of the mind” (from old) and “seeks truth from facts” (to new) to liberate new China from the stricture of old ideology in search of new ideas of all kinds, “democratic dictatorship” to put class enemies in check, “crossing the river by touching the stones” in calling for incremental and experimental reform, and “white cat, black cat, and the one that catch the mice is a cat” to conduct reform with pragmatism, i.e., by result. Deng’s reform policy, justified on pragmatic grounds, is not properly anchored ideologically or clearly explained theoretically. It is difficult to comprehend, still more to apply in practice. This has led a Chinese observer to observe, “In the case of contemporary China, the regime’s ideology is bankrupt. The transition from a socialist to a quasi market economy has created a great deal of social unrest. And the regime relies heavily on coercion to repress political and religious dissent.” Thus, one of the more challenging problems confronting and confounding Chinese reformers is in seeking an understanding of what “socialism with Chinese Characteristics” portents and entails, in theory and practice. This creates problems in planning and implementing, researching and validating, explaining and understanding, assessing and improving Chinese reform. As far as bringing about changes to America, Obama acts more like Deng, than Bush (single minded (America right or wrong), narrow perspective (do not read newspaper, I do not discuss invading Iraq with my father on earth, but father in heave), dogmatic personality ("I am the decider", inflexible approach (no precondition to negotiation with Korea).
