Explore rich underwater world of Istria, Croatia! - A perfect place for diving ...

Diving began to develop a lot before, but only recently has experienced a full swing in Croatia., and Istria is one of the leading destinations which simply provides the most.

At depths of 40 meters you have the opportunity to see jewels, wrecks of travel, trade or warships and submarines, of course. Today, in these places you can see shoals of colorful fish, corals and other marine flora.

We believe that the biggest fans are thrilled by the fact that some parts of the wreck can be entered and examined. This is certainly a hit for all of those who spend a lot of time watching documentaries about the underwater world.

Regarding the Croatian coast, Istria certainly excels in diving offer, that is, in its content. Here we should also emphasize the famous passenger ship, Baron Gautsch, that sank in 1914 in front of Rovinj .

The wreck is located at a depth of 30 meters, 85 meters long and 11 meters wide. We believe this attracts many because it is a unique opportunity to study history and its treasures.

Another attraction is the ship Coriolanus. In fact it is the wreck of the sunken steamboat, a military ship in the class, "Shakespeare" of a British Royal Navy.

Apart from the wreck, divers will surely be attracted to the rich underwater world, where you can meet face to face with a large grouper, sea snails and corals of all shapes and colors.

In this famous Istrian marine world, numerous caves and canyons should be pointed out. Also, south of Pula , there is an underwater wall in which a must of the sunken sailboat hit.

As we can see, Istria is definitely a destination for all of you who want a bit of a different holiday.

The Best Seafood Restaurants In Croatia For Your Holiday ...

Seafood is probably one of my favorite things to eat. So, when it comes to Croatia or any other place in Europe, I am pretty fine tuned on which places are the best to go to. Usually what I like to do before I go on my cheap holidays is do a little research. Thankfully for you, you don’t have to go through hundreds of pages of text and read every review out there because I already have quite a few places in Croatia I have gone to on my summer holidays for seafood restaurants which I LOVED.

These places are located through out Croatia so depending on where you are, they might just be a good fit for your specific location. One of the more popular holiday destinations to visit for low cost holidays in Croatia for seafood has got to be Dalmatia. There are somewhere around 13-15 seafood restaurants in this location. Here are the varied names and locations of some of my favorites in Croatia for direct holidays as well as some very yummy food!

- Yaksa: A top-end restaurant where many come not just for the food, but also for its reputation as the place to be seen in Hvar. There is a lovely garden at the back and the food is excellent with lobster being a popular choice.

- Restaurant Sumica: For a splurge you couldn’t do better than this place. The pasta is home-made and is combined with salmon or other fish in imaginative sauces. The grilled scampi is perfection, but you pay a steep around HRK380 per kilogram. Before your meal you’ll be served a dish of home-made fish p?t? with bread to whet your appetite. Meals are served on an open-air terrace under pine trees with a view of the sea.

- Dubravkin Put: In a woodsy area northwest of the town centre, this upscale refurbished restaurant is Zagreb’s trendiest spot. The d?cor is light, pleasant and modern, with pine floors and ceiling lights, but it is the outstanding fish specialities that attract Zagreb’s fashionable crowd. The owner is from Dubrovnik and the cuisine is inspired by his native Dalmatia, with risottos as starters and main courses of perfectly grilled fish. The restaurant is not cheap, but it makes a fine evening out.

- Lokanda Peskarija: Located on the Old Harbour right next to the fish market, you’ll feast on the freshest catch here. Locals chow down on a hearty plate of fried sardines and finish with a ‘Rozata Dubrovnik’ for dessert. The interior is atmospheric and from the outside tables you can watch the boats come and go over a glass of good local wine.
